• SCOTT FRERKING

    LEAD PASTOR

Scott joined Hill Country Fellowship as Lead Pastor in the summer of 2016.  He and his wife Sarah love seeing broken people find Jesus, laughing, and having a blast with their five children: Zion, Hadassah, Levi, Kian, and Finnlay. Scott has ministered and served all over the world, but considers Texas home.  He also has an abiding passion for U2, Ireland, Taco Cabana, and The Lord of the Rings.

  • IRA ORr

    EXECUTIVE PASTOR

Ira has been serving the staff at Hill Country Fellowship since 2008. He loves to remind the staff that people are more important than programs. He is a retired Colonel and a twenty-seven year veteran of the United States Army. He loves bragging on his amazing wife Barbara, his kids and even grandkids, and has a dream one day to retire on the beaches of Hawaii. His footprints in the sand will be easy to spot, since he wears a size 15 shoe. But in the mean time, you can find him some afternoons and definitely Tuesday at lunch at Delaware Springs Golf Course.

  • BEN GAERTNER

    WORSHIP PASTOr

Ben brings more joy and laughter to our crew than the funniest thing you can think of. Ben and his fabulous wife Kara have four exceptional children, Nathan, Katherine, Kaytie, and Ethan. When Ben isn't working really hard planning Sunday's worship service you can find him either playing Clash Royale, buying coffee at Mojo, or shopping at Costco. Ben has an incredible talent for leading people in worship. God has gifted him incredibly in all areas of music. Fun fact about Ben: he can spontaneously imitate pretty much anything with his voice but good luck getting him to repeat it.

  • JAY PAUL ROY

    BURNET AREA PASTOR

Jay Paul is the only pastor at HCF with three first names. He’s also known as “that really tall pastor at that church in Burnet.” Jay is married with a wonderful wife Kari, and three amazing children Jud, Strat, and Asah. Jay is a licensed counselor and spends much time meeting with folks to help them in their walk with Jesus.  He's never met a stranger, and Jay loves to meet and converse with everyone he runs into. He has a real spiritual gift for connection and a great pastoral heart that loves to serve the Lord.

  • JEREMY COTTON

    MARBLE FALLS AREA PASTOr

Jeremy has an endless supply of enthusiasm. He and his wife Leslie live in Marble Falls and have four beautiful daughters, Kalena, Karis, Kenadie, & Kacie. Jeremy has a special love for hunting, especially moose, although he hasn’t found many on his hunts since moving to Texas from Alaska. You may notice him driving around town in his 1955 cherry red Chevy that he restored with his dad. Jeremy has a great passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with strangers and going on every mission trip he can.

  • HUnter simmons

    student PASTOR

Hunter is our resident mountain man. He loves to be in the great outdoors with his sweet wife Kendall and their son, Beau. Hunter also loves to eat, especially late in the evenings when he loves a little midnight snack of chips and salsa. Hunter has a real passion for taking students to the next level with Jesus, and also is the only pastor at Hill Country Fellowship who can throw it down with authority on the basketball court.

  • shawn mullen

    outreach PASTOR

Shawn is a man of many distinct talents. His title of Outreach Pastor does not do him justice. He drums for the worship team, leads the student ministry praise team, coordinates the jail ministry, runs 326 Hoops, and organizes the golf tournament among other things. He loves Jesus, Mandi, eating, and working out (in that order). A less commonly known fact is that Shawn enjoys working in a dark office, when he is actually in his office. But usually, you find him… actually, no one can ever find him. Shawn would love to pray for you, if you can find him.

  • DAN BRITTON

    PASTOR OF EQUIPPING & APOLOGETICS

Dan was a career IBMer when God radically transformed this pagan hippy into a man on fire for Jesus!  Dan is a self-described "Spirit-filled, Bible believing, rational charismatic, Christian apologist."  He and his wife Leonora love sailing and spend time camping in their fifth wheel.  He has a fantastic collection of guitars and longhorns he'd be glad to show you if you visit him out at his ranch.  Dan's true passion is helping people unite their heart and mind in worship of Jesus.
